Welcome to the new Semiconductor Industry Association website and blog.  As you may know, the SIA called Silicon Valley home for more than 30 years, now we are writing a new chapter in our future and we want you to be a part of it.  Part of that new vision starts with our website redesign, which aims to make information easier to find and access.

It is our goal to use all of our resources and tools to communicate the impact and importance of maintaining U.S. leadership in technology and how we can accomplish that through a robust semiconductor industry. We intend for this website and blog to be a consistent and credible resource for information gathering about the high-tech and semiconductor industry and we hope you will use it as such.

Up until now we have largely been tech-centric, but with the recent move to Washington, D.C. our Board of Directors decided to refocus our attention in Washington because increasingly government policies and regulations are having new and significant impacts on the industry. This is a significant move; it signals to our partners, members and public officials that the semiconductor industry has an important impact on the future of prosperity in America and we intend to tell that story loud and clear.
